2012 Randy Wood A-5 Mike Compton signature mandolin #3212. Legendary luthier Randy Wood, famous for his woody A-5 sound, created this limited edition mandolin for world renowned mandolinist Mike Compton. This is one of the first ten from this production which includes Mike Compton’s signature inlaid in pearl in the pick guard. Other features include varnish finish, maple back and sides, spruce top and Randy Wood engraved tailpiece and pearl peg head logo. This mandolin is in near mint condition, even the pick guard is in excellent condition, as the former owner had Randy install his standard pick guard for use while the precious Mike Compton signature guard remained unscathed in the case.
