



Circa 1890s SS Stewart banjo-mandolin; Brazilian rosewood neck and rim with maple and mahogany marquetry; maple dowel rod stamped "patent appl'd for"; 23 hole arch-top tone ring, 22 round head brackets and nuts; engraved mandolin slide-on tailpiece, fancy mother of pearl inlays in fingerboard and peg head; also "SS Stewart" inlaid in pearl in the peg head; silver closed back tuners; original "SS Stewart" wrench and bridge. 10 7/8 inch original calfskin head. $600 or best offer. Excellent candidate for conversion or harvested parts. As-is condition, needs set-up and fret work to be playable as mandolin banjo.
