A2-Z 79689

A2-Z #79869, FON 11988. Manufactured at the end of 1923, shipped in 1926. Without question, this has all the appointments of a natural top A2-Z, except the “Z” does not appear on the label. Snakehead peghead with “The Gibson” in pearl, adjustable truss rod in mahogany neck, spruce top, birch back and sides and most importantly, the exquisite sound that makes this model so popular. Three poorly repaired pick-up holes plugged, two in the top and jack hole in the side, finish touch-up on the top and overspray on the body. Reproduction of a period correct adjustable bridge, makes playability and sound optimal. Otherwise original including case. A great player at half the price of an A2-Z in excellent condition. $3000.
